These terms apply to the Hidden Fortune website and digital publications offered by Hidden Fortune. By using the site or purchasing a publication, you agree to these terms.
Digital products
Products are digital PDF and EPUB files unless a product page clearly says otherwise. Nothing is printed or shipped. Access and delivery depend on the email address and device information you provide at checkout.
Educational purpose
Hidden Fortune provides general education about observing objects and researching completed-sale records. It is not an appraisal, authentication, certification, individual valuation, investment recommendation, legal advice, tax advice, or insurance advice. We do not promise that an object is genuine, saleable, rare, or worth a particular amount. Markets, records, platform interfaces, fees, and buyer interest change.
Your research decisions
You are responsible for checking the identity, condition, ownership, safety, legality, shipping requirements, platform rules, taxes, and transaction terms that apply to your situation. Public records may be incomplete, mislabeled, stale, or displayed on different amount bases.
Personal license
Your purchase gives you a limited, nonexclusive, nontransferable license to use the files for your own household research. You may print working copies for your own use. You may not resell, redistribute, upload, publish, share, sublicense, or create a competing product from the files.
Payment and delivery
When checkout is connected, a payment processor may handle payment, taxes, and digital delivery under its own terms. The amount shown at checkout is the amount offered for that transaction, subject to any tax required by law.
Refunds
The current refund promise is stated on the refund page. If a product page offers more favorable terms, the more favorable published terms apply.
Availability and changes
We may correct errors, update files, change or discontinue a product, or suspend the site. Buyers of the core guide receive method updates when major record sources change, as described on the product page. This does not promise a particular update date, new chapter, or permanent access to a third-party platform.
Liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, Hidden Fortune is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or lost-profit damages arising from the site, a digital guide, a third-party record, or a buying, keeping, donating, discarding, insuring, or selling decision. Nothing in these terms excludes a right that cannot legally be excluded.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of North Carolina, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute must be brought in a court with proper jurisdiction in North Carolina unless applicable law requires otherwise.
